  1. Reducing Inequality: A Focus on SDG 10:

At Support Black Charities, our mission is deeply intertwined with advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG10 – reducing inequalities. Through our Global Black Philanthropy Initiative (GBPI), launched last year, we have embarked on a transformative journey to address key social impact areas within the Black community, each month focusing on a different aspect aligned with specific SDGs. It is during the month of February –  Black History Month, that we shine a spotlight on SDG10 to dedicate our focus on reducing inequality.

The Global Black Philanthropy Initiative (GBPI) serves as a platform to amplify the work of Black-serving organizations and highlight their contributions towards achieving SDG10 every February. Our goal is not only to raise awareness on this critical issue but also to deepen our understanding of the unique challenges faced by the Black community and to advance tangible solutions.

As we reflect on the legacy of Black-serving organizations during Black History Month, it is essential to recognize their historic and ongoing efforts towards reducing inequality. From advocating for civil rights to providing essential services in underserved communities, these organizations have been at the forefront of the fight for social justice and equality.

Through our GBPI initiative, we aim to inspire action and collaboration, encouraging individuals and organizations to join us in our commitment to building a more just and equitable world. By harnessing the collective power of philanthropy, advocacy, and community engagement, we can create lasting change and pave the way for a brighter future for all. Together, let us honor the legacy of Black-serving organizations and work towards a world where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of race, gender, or background.
