SupportBlackCharities’ purpose is to connect you to causes that inspire you within your community. Getting involved and supporting a cause can mean many different things to different people. Whether you want to volunteer at an event, raise awareness by sharing a post on social media, donating clothing or money, or fundraising, we want to encourage you to find a way to make a difference within the African and Caribbean community.

It doesn’t matter where you were born, the black community has a strong history that reaches across the world. Everybody has a “back home” and this is a way for supporters to remain tapped into what is going on with local charities and those abroad.

Studies show that people want to give and get involved but can’t find charities to donate their time or money to that relate to their personal values. SupportBlackCharities provides a directory of organizations around the world that impact and elevate Afro-Caribbean communities worldwide.

How does it work?

  1. Directory: Use the Search/Advance Search directory options to find a cause in your area of interests that elevates the Afro-Caribbean community. Search by category and subcategory to choose based on location, social impact, current needs, etc.). Click on an organization’s website to learn more about how to get involved and support them.
  2. Vetted charitable organizations: All organizations featured on the online directory have been individually vetted for transparency and trustworthiness and must meet the 7 Key Requirements for Best Practice.
  3. Calendar of events: Search for events coming up for charities worldwide.
  4. Community Newsletter: Be the first to know about the needs and news of listed charitable organizations via our monthly newsletter.
