Hunger Action Month
September 1 - September 30
Hunger Action Month
Also referred to as National Food Insecurity Month, September is a time to choose to stand against hunger. Sharing, volunteering, pledging, fundraising, and donating are just a few ways to help end the impossible choices of hunger.
Hunger is complex and often misunderstood. It is neither caused by overall food shortages nor by the personal choices of hungry people. Hunger is about poverty and the social forces that create and sustain it.
