Start by either searching SupportBlackCharities’ online directory or speaking to our team to find a cause and/or charitable organization that aligns with your overall business culture and/or goals. Once you have selected a cause, there are a few different ways you can move forward. Some options are:
- Establish an in-house social responsibility committee to oversee your charitable work and measure the impact it is having on your overall business goals.
- Create team building events by volunteering with local organizations.
- Organize food drives or item donations among your employees and their families (clothes, toys, etc).

- Online retailer Awegoo contact us about donating a surplus of inventory to black organizations located in the state of Florida. We reached out to all the interested partner organizations in Florida to coordinate shipping.
- Weight Watcher – USA reached out for help to share about WW Wellness Impact Award, offering five $15K USD Grants to BIPOC-led community organizations addressing Food Insecurity. We shared the information to our partners in the USA. However, we challenged them to offer the same opportunity for partners in Canada. Two months later, a Canadian 18K$ CAN grant was created which one of our Canadian partners – R.E.S.T. Centres – received.
- Our founder – Anick S. was selected as the Ambassador for the Black Canadian Community by Charitable Impact. Several specific Donor Advised Funds – Black Community Housing Fund & Black Community Support Fund – were created with Anick’s direct input where for the last 2 years, several Canadian partner organizations have benefitted from monthly donations.
- A company who wished to remain anonymous, wanted to donate and deliver 2 large LED TV (86” and 55”) a deserving established Black organizations in Montreal (Canada) working with youth and education. We put them in contact with a partner organization – Desta Black Youth Network – who was overjoyed to received this generous unexpected gift.
