About Sahana

Sahana Sriranganathan is a legal and regulatory professional with over eight years of experience in corporate governance, entity management, and mergers and acquisitions. Her expertise has been instrumental in supporting complex corporate transactions and ensuring regulatory compliance across a range of industries. In addition to her corporate experience, Sahana has taught in the Paralegal Program at a Toronto-based college, mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.

Fluent in Tamil, Sahana brings a rich multicultural perspective to her work, enhancing her ability to engage meaningfully with diverse communities. She holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Boston University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa. She is also a licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario.

As a second-generation Sri Lankan Canadian, Sahana’s lived experience as a racialized woman in a Western society has deeply influenced her personal and professional journey. She has turned the challenges of navigating identity, culture, and systemic barriers into a source of strength and purpose. Her work—both professionally and in the community—focuses on dismantling inequities, creating inclusive environments, and amplifying historically marginalized voices.

Sahana is passionate about empowering underrepresented communities. From mentoring young women of color to leading grassroots initiatives, her leadership is grounded in empathy, cultural fluency, and a commitment to equity. She is honored to bring her experience and strategic insight to the board, with a dedication to supporting Black voices and advancing meaningful, systemic change through inclusive leadership and philanthropy.
